My name is Kayla Patterson. I am brown belt training out of Atos Jiu-Jitsu and have been training for 9 years and 9 months. I’ll be celebrating my 10 year Jiu-Jitsu anniversary in February 2020. Over the last 10 years, I have been a full-time competitor, full-time instructor, and back to full-time competitor.
I am a 4x EBI vet (brown belt) and 2x No-Gi World Champion (purple belt).
List your specialties:Most of my competitive success has been in No-Gi but don’t let that fool you, I love all of Jiu-Jitsu equally. My most dominant positions are mount and back control, with a bit of pressure passing mixed in. My favorite submissions include a kneebar from the over/under position, an armbar from high guard, and the high elbow guillotine (marcelotine).
What To Expect In a Mentoring Session With Me:
Expect to receive clear advice and a very high percentage approach to addressing issues. As a competitor, I am to make my Jiu-Jitsu direct and effective leading to a submission.

Congratulations on your BLACK BELT @zachlecates ! Fun fact: Zach was one of the first people I met after moving to San Diego. We both lived at @hingerbjj ‘s place for some time (which seems like a right of passage at this point ?). I’m also certain Zach would have starved to death if he didn’t convince @nikkicuddlejitsu and I to share our meals with him. Apparently a New York asshole and a Tennessee sweetheart can make for a pretty good friendship ???♀️
When purchasing this session you will receive a response from me within 24 hours during the following days: Monday through Friday. On Weekends you will receive a reply on Monday.
