Type of Instruction You Can Receive From A Session:

I’ve been training consistently in BJJ since November 2013. I started competing a couple months after beginning, winning numerous white belt tournaments and have been hooked ever since. I’ve been teaching group classes and private lessons since I was a blue belt, so I’m used to fielding all sorts of questions from beginners to more experience players.

I train at 127 BJJ in Philadelphia, PA. I received my Purple belt in January 2017 from Eamon Knittle. My coach is a third-degree Black Belt, receiving his Black Belt in 2006 from Royler Gracie and David Adiv, he also trained frequently under Rosendo Diaz.

My BJJ Game:

My game consists of a lot of De La Riva guard, reverse De La Riva, and closed guard. My main objective is to find a path to the back, so over the years I’ve been crafting my game to develop more and more entries to the back from my best positions. I’m also only 140 pounds, so learning how to compete against people much bigger and stronger than me has been a necessity.

BJJ Accomplishments: 2018 IBJJF Charlotte Open Adult Featherweight Winner (no points scored against me through 3 matches), Fight2Win 31 super fight winner, 2018 IBJJF D.C. Open Light Featherweight Silver Medalist, 2x NewBreed Advanced Division Open Winner (February and June 2018), various blue and white belt belt gold medals from NAGA, Goodfight, Newbreed

Fun Fact: I have the record of Longest Match in Goodfight Tournament history at 2 hours and 20 minutes.
